GENOCIDE MONUMENT INAGURATION
On the 28th of May 2008, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, His Excellency Mr. Demetris Christofias, led the grand opening ceremony of the Armenian Genocide Monument in Larnaca.

GENOCIDE MONUMENT
The monument, located at Larnaca’s Phinikoudes seafront next to the town’s Marina and Port, marks the spot where tens of thousands of Armenian refugees fleeing persecution during the genocide of 1915-1923 first landed in Cyprus.

MONUMENT INSCRIPTION IN ARMENIAN
The creation of the square linking the monument with the Larnaca promenade was funded by the Kalaydjian Foundation in memory of Bedros and Aram Kalaydjian.
