THE FIRST & ONLY CYPRUS ARMENIANS PORTAL

Armenians In Limassol

Limassol

Although Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus, it is home to few Armenians, about 250 in number. But it does have its own church and primary school.

The school was built in 1951 on the premises of the "Sourp Kevork" church.Although some renovations have been made to the school, the community is considering building a new modern school. Because of the small number of pupils, some teachers teach both in Limassol and in Larnaca.

The church was built in 1939. It does not have its own priest, and so the Larnaca priest conducts services there every fortnight.
