System of a Down and other activists trace the history of genocide and genocide denial, through the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, and the large-scale massacres in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and Darfur. Amongst the ones appearing are Serj Tankian’s grandfather, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, and Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, brutally murdered by a Turkish nationalist, in the streets of Constantinople in 2007.
The screening of “Screamers” is organised by The Armenian National Committee of Cyprus
Screamers’ film director, Carla Garabedian, will also be present at the event.
